Kasey’s website was a great project because I was given full creative rights for it. This allowed me to create a new brand for the bar. I wanted to make viewers of the site feel like they were actually at Kasey’s, a dimly lit tavern with a ton of wood, personable staff, and plenty of regulars. I did this by incorporating those characteristics into the web design. The tavern is a true tavern, so the design had to keep that persona, but also intrigue new, younger customers (21 and older of course).
Since Kasey’s did not have a definitive logo, I redesigned both their website and their logo. Kasey’s Tavern has the second oldest liquor license in Chicago, and it is still going strong. With this logo redesign I wanted to portray a classic tavern feel with a modern twist. The owner is extremely pleased with the outcome. (View the site at kaseystavern.net)
